Slotted boards interlock to create a grid. Product dimensions, cell clearance, divider height, board thickness and the carton’s internal dimensions must be considered together. The same cell count does not make two partitions interchangeable. For fragile goods, describe surface contact, top and bottom cushioning and transit testing requirements; dividers alone do not establish protection performance.

Dividers mainly separate multiple items into cells. Inserts locate or support the shape of a product. Both can be discussed together when a pack needs separation and positioning.
Which measurements are needed for custom dividers?
Provide maximum item dimensions, items per box, layout and internal carton dimensions. Board thickness, cell clearance and height must be considered when confirming the structure.
Do cardboard dividers guarantee that glass will not break?
No. Assess the product, cushioning, outer carton and handling as a complete pack, and confirm sampling and transit testing requirements.
