Custom carton quotation checklist: dimensions, quantity and printing
Prepare a custom carton enquiry in Hong Kong with clearly labelled dimensions, packed weight, order quantities, artwork, requested dates and delivery details.
Describe the contents and the journey
List the product type, individual dimensions, items per carton and total packed weight. Include any inserts, dividers or protective packing that need space. Explain whether the carton is for storage, shipping or retail presentation, and whether it will be stacked. These details help frame a packaging discussion; weight alone cannot establish the required carton strength or a safe stacking limit.
Label internal and external measurements
Record length × width × height with units, such as millimetres. Internal dimensions describe the usable space, while external dimensions affect storage, shipping and placement. Keep the two distinct. If you are replacing an existing carton, share photographs and explain how it was measured. If only the product size is known, say so explicitly rather than presenting an estimated carton size as final.
Separate quantities from artwork requirements
State an estimated quantity for each size or artwork variant, and whether the requirement is a one-off or a possible repeat order. Include logos, text, print positions and colour references. Explain whether production artwork is available or only a visual concept exists. For corrugated carton enquiries, describe the intended use; board, structure and printing arrangements still need confirmation for the specific project.
Clarify timing, delivery and quotation scope
Give your preferred receipt date, delivery location and any unloading, booking or split-delivery constraints. Ask which items the quotation includes and whether samples, artwork changes, delivery or other items are separate. Do not assume a service is included or available until confirmed. Compare quotations against the same dimensions, quantities, material requirements, printing and delivery conditions, and retain the agreed details in writing.
